Class Registration
What do I need to do to sign up for a class membership?
Before signing up for a class membership, everyone must create an account with us online. LiveLoveSkate offers a safe and secure online registration either through the browser-based Parent Portal or mobile app (iClassPro), which allows you to create a family account, enter student information and register for classes.
What if I registered in the past when in-person registration was the only way to sign up for classes, and don’t have a portal account?
Even if you registered for classes in-person with us years ago, you already have an existing account with us, the only difference is that we created it for you. You will need to gain access to your account via password reset. Please DO NOT create a new account as all of your existing information including enrollments, payments, skill tracking etc will not be available to you on a new account.
How do I login to my already-existing account?
When getting to the Login screen, simply scroll down and choose the forgot password option and type in the primary e-mail address that you have on file (the e-mail address that you receive our e-mails from) this will send a validation code to your e-mail inbox and you can use that to login through the app where all your existing information will be available to you, it’s that simple!
IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE E-MAIL ON FILE, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ONLY ONE E-MAIL ACCOUNT (PRIMARY) CAN LOGIN TO THE PARENT PORTAL.
How do I create an account?
Browser: Visit the Parent Portal website, if you are new, select the “create account” button, and follow the instructions.
iClassPro App: After installing the app you will be asked to type in the “Organization Code,” type in LiveLoveSkate (No spaces) then tap on “Create Account.”
How do membership fees work?
Memberships are charged via auto-pay, on the 23rd of each month, until you inform Live Love Skate that you no longer wish to continue.
It is the member’s responsibility to alert Live Love Skate if they no longer wish to continue, before the auto-pay charges are run.
Why do you run the Auto-Pay on the 23rd of the month?
We do this to ensure that we can offer the spots of students who are planning on dropping their membership, to new students looking to enroll in classes that are currently full.
Do you offer refunds or credit on classes?
Once the charge goes through, all sales are final. In the event of an emergency, injury, or illness, please contact us through e-mail.
We understand that not all kids will enjoy roller-skating, or will do well in an environment with so much going on around them, so for this reason we urge parents to book a trial through the online portal, which will be held during our Open Skate sessions to see how their child reacts, before deciding to commit and sign for our group classes.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes, we offer a 10% discount for siblings and parents enrolled in the membership simultaneously.
Do you offer trials? How much do they cost?
YES! We offer trials to NEW students looking to get a feel of being on roller-skates and and to get mini sample of how our lesson program works.
The fee for a trial is $15 per student.
You may stay for Open Skate after your time-slot ends, but you must clear the trial area.
If you have taken classes with us prior, you do not need a trial.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover for Online Registration.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Check and Cash payments in person.
Sorry, we do not accept American Express for class registrations.
How do I stop my enrollment?
Please send us an e-mail (info@liveloveskate.com) to inform us that you would like to stop your enrollment, or let us know in person while attending class.
You must notify us no later than the 22nd day of each month that you do not wish to be included in the next month of classes.
Do I need to schedule a make up if LiveLoveSkate cancels a class?
No, there is no need to schedule a make up if we cancel class. In the event of an unexpected cancellation, we will add a credit to your account equaling to the amount of one class, to use towards your next billing cycle.
In the event of Live Love Skate scheduling an upcoming cancelation ahead of time, your price will be automatically pro-rated when signing up/the recurring charge goes through.
Choosing Your Level
My child has never taken roller skating classes before. What level should I sign up for?
If your child has never taken skating lessons before, and their age is between 5.5-14, please register for Intro to Roller Skating.
If your child has never taken skating lessons before, and their age is between 3½-5, please register for Future Stars 1.
I am trying to register for a class online, but it is saying to “waitlist” what does that mean?
When you see this status it means that the class you are attempting to enroll in has reached its maximum capacity and no further enrollments can be taken at this time. If this time-slot is the only one that works for your skater you are more than welcome to add your student to the waitlist in order to get priority when a slot for that class opens up.
Please note that we go in the order that people have waitlisted when contacting about class availability.
Why do I need to add a card on file for a Waitlist Enrollment? Will I be charged?
A card on file is required in order to ensure that the waitlist enrollment requested is valid. Even though you are being asked to provide a card on file, you will NOT be charged for requesting a Waitlist Enrollment. We will contact you once a spot becomes available to confirm your enrollment before proceeding with charges.
My child has some skating experience, which class should I pick?
If your child has some skating experience and can easily perform all of the required skills located under Intro to Roller Skating/Future Stars 1, please email us to schedule an evaluation on Friday during open skate.
How long does it take to pass each level?
Each level is built off the fundamentals learned in previous levels and each skater progresses at their own pace. It normally takes 2-3 months to pass a level for ages 5+ and 4-6 months for ages 3-5. Your coach will let you know when it is time for the skater to move to the next level.
What are the required skills per level?
The skills are located under the Class Descriptions tab.
Do you offer classes for Adults?
Yes! If you are looking for an Adult only class, please refer to our schedule for more information regarding the times and prices.
Is it possible to join my child in the same class?
If both you and your child are starting rollerskating together, you may join their Intro to Rollerskating class if you wish. Do be aware that this is a class intended for kids ages 5-12, so the structure of the class will be taught to fit that age range.
If your child is more advanced (Levels 1-3) you will need to be able to perform the skills from prior levels in order to join them.
We are going on an extended vacation (Longer than a month). What level should I register my child for when we return?
If you are going away for an extended period of time an evaluation will be required to re-assess the skater before re-registering for classes.
Please send an email to info@liveloveskate.com or book an evaluation on a Friday during open skate.
Preparing For Class
What should I/My Skater wear for skating classes?
We recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothes to allow for the skater to move freely. No jeans, skirts or dresses please.
Socks are required to use our rental skates. If you/your skater forgot to wear socks, we have some available for purchase at the skate rental counter for $2.
Do I/my child need to buy roller skates for the class?
You do not need to buy skates, rental skates are included with your membership for class, however if you wish to do so, please talk to Coach Susan about recommendations. We sell skates!
What time should I arrive for my/my child’s class?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled class time in order to allow time to check-in, use the restroom, get a drink and put on the skates!
Are roller-skates provided? Do we get to rent them for outside use?
Traditional quad roller skates are provided for use at the rink during your skating lessons.
The skates must be returned at the end of each class.
If you have not worn skates before, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to your first class to make sure you have enough time to be fitted for skates.
It is required that all skaters have socks in order to use our skates!
Can we use inline skates during your classes?
Yes, you can use inline skates, but please be aware that there are some skills taught in classes that cannot be done on inline skates. For beginners especially, we recommend starting on traditional quad skates. The transition from quad to inline in the future is fairly easy and does not require any special instructions.
Is protective gear required?
Adults:
All adults are required to own/wear a pair of wrist guards.
They are available for purchase at most sporting goods stores, online through the Parent Portal via our Pro-Shop, or at the skate rental counter.
Kids:
We encourage all parents to use their best judgement in deciding whether or not their child should wear protective gear/helmet, however It is not required.
What do I do when I arrive for class?
When you arrive for a class please line up in the check-in line so we can mark you present. Be ready to provide the name of the skater’s class, their name and what size skates they need.
What size skate should I/my child ask for?
Generally your skates should be one size smaller than your shoe size. For women, we recommend going down two sizes from your shoe size because the skates are men sizes.
The skates should fit snug and there should be no room for the foot to move inside of the skate. If you are unsure, please come early for your class and ask us for help.
If you are struggling with inserting the foot, loosen the laces to allow the foot to slide in easier. Make sure to tighten all of the laces from toe to ankle before tying.
What if I/my child bring(s) a pair of roller-skates from home, do we still need to check-in at the skate rental counter?
Even if you/your skater own a pair of skates, it is still a requirement to check-in for class, at the skate rental counter. Failure to do so will result in you/your skater being marked absent from the class.
You do not need to line up with everyone else, you may come to the far end of the counter and tell us the name of the skater.
Mobile App
Do you have a Mobile App?
YES! The mobile app is a great alternative to accessing the parent portal quickly on your mobile device!
Why does it say “The iClassPro App” when I tap on the download icon?
iClassPro is the software system that we use to enroll students into our program, they have provided their app for us to use.
I installed the App, but it’s asking for an “Organization Code” What is it?
The Organization Code is: LiveLoveSkate (with no spaces)
The app is asking me to login, what account do I use?
Use your existing LiveLoveSkate Parent Portal account (E-mail) to login.
